Multan: Special Cleanliness Operation Launched in Worship Places and Neighborhoods During Holy Ramadan

Multan - (Staff Reporter) - In line with the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the 'Sathra Punjab' (Clean Punjab) program has initiated a large-scale cleanliness drive across Zone 3 in Multan. The operation focuses on ensuring hygiene and sanitation at worship places and within residential neighborhoods.

According to officials, the cleanliness teams have successfully completed the sanitation and washing of over 50 mosques in Zone 3. The operation included not only the interior cleaning of the prayer halls but also the power washing of the courtyards, verandas, and adjacent routes leading to these worship places.

To raise public awareness, special announcements were made in the mosques regarding the ongoing cleanliness operation and the importance of maintaining a clean environment. The administration has urged the citizens to cooperate with the waste management workers.

Underlining the religious significance of cleanliness, the authorities emphasized the saying, "Cleanliness is half of faith." The public was appealed to keep their homes and neighborhoods clean and to extend full support to the sanitation workers in their efforts to keep the city tidy during the blessed month.
